Anyone can see the school's public information: programs, fees, campuses, jobs and promotions.
Parents and guardians can sign in after the school gives them a sign-up slip for their child.
Students can sign in only if the school gives them a student slip. The school decides which students get one, and staff help them sign in.
3. What information the app uses
Information you give us:
Parents: your phone number and a password. The password is stored only by Google's sign-in service in a scrambled form that nobody at the school can read.
Students: your Student ID and a password.
Payment proofs: if you send a picture of a bank transfer, we keep the picture and the details you typed so the office can check the payment.
Leave requests: the dates and reason you send.
Information the school already has, shown to you in the app: your child's name, photo, class, timetable, attendance, results and report cards, fees, payments and receipts, the honor roll of your child's class, the student ID card, school announcements and the school calendar. The app only shows this information; it never changes the school's records.
Phone alerts: if you allow alerts, we keep a technical address for your phone, and the language you chose in the app, so we can send alerts in that language. Alerts never contain your child's details; they only say that something new is in the app.
What we do NOT collect: no location, no contacts, no advertising IDs, no tracking for advertising. The app has no ads. We do not sell or rent any information.
4. Why we use it
Only to run the school's service to your family: show your child's school information, receive and check payments, handle leave requests and send school alerts.
5. Who can see it
You see only your own children (parents) or yourself (students). The server checks this on every request.
School staff see what their role needs, as they already do in the school's system.
Service providers that run the app for us: Google Firebase (sign-in, database and storage; the database is in Google's Singapore region) and Expo (delivers phone alerts). They process the information only to provide these services.
We share information with nobody else, unless the law requires it.
6. How long we keep it
Your login: until you delete your account or the school closes it.
Payment proof pictures: deleted automatically 12 months after they are sent.
The school's own records (payments, receipts, attendance, results) are kept as school records, as before the app existed.
7. Security
Signing in needs a password of at least 8 characters. Repeated wrong sign-up attempts are blocked. All traffic is encrypted. The school's database is backed up and protected, and the server watches for unusual activity.
8. Deleting your account
In the app: Profile → Delete my account, then type your password. This deletes your login, the links to your children and your alert settings at once.
Without the app: email cambright.office@gmail.com or visit either campus office. To make sure nobody deletes someone else's account, the office checks it's really you: either you call the office from the phone number you sign in with, or you come to the office in person. The office then deletes the account within 7 days.
Payment proofs and leave requests already sent stay with the school as school records (payment pictures are still deleted after 12 months).
9. Children
Parent accounts are for adults. Student accounts are made only with a slip the school gives, with the school's and family's agreement. Students see only their own school information and can't make payments.
10. Changes
If we change this policy, we will update the date above and tell users in the app.
